The Shire of Runvidardstadr is a group of SCA medievalists residing in the northwestern Illinois counties of Jo Daviess and Stephenson. Our shire was founded in 2017 in the Midlands region of the Middle Kingdom. We share borders with the Kingdoms of Calontir and Northshield, and count friends amongst groups across the Known World.
The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our “Known World” consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which feature tournaments, royal courts, feasts, dancing, various classes & workshops, and more.
This is the recognized web site for the Shire of Runvidardstadr of the Socieity for Creative Anachronism, Inc., and is maintained by Lord Sigrikr Sigulffson.
